CRC provides *residential care for 72 individuals with developmental disabilities in the Bronx, Manhattan and Southern Westchester.  We operate two types of residential care:

Intermediate Care Facilities, or ICF, provides comprehensive and individualized health care, rehabilitation services, and 24-hour support to promote maximal functioning and independence.

Individual Residential Alternative, or IRA, provides room, board, 24-hour support and supervision, individualized care, and person-centered life plans. Helping to create their own life plans allows individuals to make informed choices about the services and supports that can  best help them enhance and enjoy the most important areas of their live, such as health, relationships, work, and home.

CRC also provides community habilitation services to help individuals improve daily living skills while integrating and building relationships in the community.

How to apply

The Office for People with Developmental Disabilities' (OPWDD) Front Door approach gives individuals who are seeking services for the first time, or who want to modify their current plans, opportunities to direct their own care.  From the first time someone enters the Front Door, they, along with their family and circle of support, will receive valuable guidance in identifying the steps necessary to access services within and beyond OPWDD.  For more information please visit: https://opwdd.ny.gov/how-do-i/apply-services.
